The most famous restaurant on television opened its doors again in search of new singles to unite in love. On this occasion, Maria del Carmen attended the program presented by Carlos Sobera defining herself as “a woman with a 20-year-old head.”
The single woman shared her great passion for the world of dancea hobby she shared with her husband: “I am now a dance teacher, but my husband and I have been European champions several times,” she assured the programme’s cameras.
“We were called by television, nightclubs and discos to do performances… My husband and I made a very nice couple, he was very handsome, like Richard Gere: elegant, tall and thin and he danced wonderfully,” she recalled.
The dating show arranged a date for her with Jesús, a retiree from Málaga who saw his dream cut short: “I was born to be a priest, but when I was about to enter the seminary, my mother told me that she didn’t want a sissy at home, but a macho man.“, he lamented.
Maria del Carmen’s first reaction couldn’t have been worse: “Earth, swallow me up!” she said as soon as she saw him enter. “A man with that build and wearing a white sweater… I wanted an elegant, slim man who knew how to dance.“, she complained to the editors of ‘First Dates’.
Although Jesus did not meet the expectations of the single woman, both decided to give it a chance during the evening. For his part, the bachelor highlighted the abundant number of ‘Carmens’ that there are in his family: “It’s another Carmen, is it my destiny? My mother, my daughter, my ex…”, said the bachelor.
