Luján Argüelles is enjoying a prominent moment at Mediaset España. While awaiting the premiere of the sixth season of ‘Who Wants to Marry My Son?’ on Cuatro, the presenter is also leading the long-awaited return of ‘The Weakest Rival’, an iconic contest that will be broadcast in its new edition on Telecinco, after its original premiere in 2002 on the public channel.

In the first promotional video, some details of the set are revealed, where eight celebrities will compete as a team over seven rounds, with the aim of winning up to 50,000 euros. As in the original version, at the end of each round, the contestants must vote for who they consider to be the weakest rival, who will then be eliminated from the competition.

Strategy, betrayal and tension will be the key elements in the return of ‘El rival más pesada’ (The Weakest Rival). This format, produced by Brutal Media, will feature the participation of prominent figures from the Spanish scene, such as Alaska, Camela, Ainhoa ​​Arteta, Leticia Sabater, water polo player Víctor Gutiérrez and actor Toni Cantó. As for the premiere date, Telecinco has only indicated that it will be “soon”, so it is expected that the debut will take place in the new television season, which starts on September 2.
