This is what a night visit to the Mosque-Cathedral looks like

The tour It begins in the Patio de los Naranjos with an audiovisual projection which covers the entire history of the monument and the city, before entering the temple and taking a tour of its main landmarks, including the primitive basilica of San Vicente or the reconquest of Fernando III El Santo, transported by sound and lighting, which occurs gradually as the visit progresses.

Medina Azahara, at night

One more summer, the caliphal city of Medina Azahara has scheduled Night visits to the archaeological zone during the summer, although the museum will be closed during these hours.

Evening tours will be available between June 21 and September 20from Tuesday to Friday, from 8:00 p.m. to midnight, and prior reservation is not necessary.

The entrance is free for all citizens of the European Union and the cost for visitors from other countries is 1.50 euros. The visit is free, without guide service.

Dramatized visits

In addition to the possibility of touring the archaeological zone at night, Medina Azahara offers dramatized visits to the site during nighttime visits. This summer, the activity will take place on Fridays and Saturdays, from July 6th to September 20th. The dramatizations are titled The Circle of the Caliph: Arabs, Slavs and Berbers and will highlight the diversity of the population that inhabited the caliphal city.
