Cordova is preparing to experience one of the great events of its cultural calendar this July with the 43rd edition of the Guitar Festivalin which the six strings take center stage with a rich concert programming with big names in music, who will take to the stages of the Gran Teatro, Teatro Góngora and Teatro de la Axerquía, July 3-13.

These spaces are also joined by the Patio de los Naranjos, the Provincial Council of Cordobathe Arab Househe Fosforito Flamenco Center and the courtyard of the Romero de Torres Museumto complete a program of 26 concertswhich this year has a larger budget and features figures that aim to attract more young audiences to the main cultural event of the summer in Córdoba.

Other events at the Guitar Festival

This year, the Festival goes hand in hand with two major cultural events in the city, that of 150th anniversary of Julio Romero de Torreswith an exclusive inaugural concert dedicated to his figure, the work of the great guitarist from Cordoba José Antonio Rodríguez, who attended the presentation of the festival, and the Córdoba Orchestraand a reinforcement of the anniversary of the declaration of World Heritage of the Mosque-Cathedral and the historic center of Cordoba thanks to a concert that will take place on Wednesday, July 10 in the Patio de los Naranjos by the Cordoba Orchestra and Avi Avitalwith themes by Vivaldi and Bach. The recital will be free and may be attended by invitation.

Outside the usual stages, they will also perform at Casa Árabe Ali Khattab, with the show Strings between landsJuly 11 at 10 p.m.; Yolanda Mozos (flamenco guitar) and Francisco Perez Feria (classical guitar) on Friday 12th in the courtyard of the Julio Romero de Torres Museum and Lucia Reyes (classical guitar) and Gabriel D’Ario (flamenco guitar) at the Centro Flamenco Fosforito. These concerts will be Free access until full capacity.
