Adam Wingard appeared in that low-budget collective horror film project titled 'V/H/S' and now he rubs shoulders with filmmakers who shoot films worth more than 200 million euros. After inaugurating the new franchise of the two gigantic creatures with 'Godzilla vs. Kong', Wingard signs a second delivery which at the same time completes the so-called 'MonsterVerse' – by categories that are not left – started with 'Godzilla' in 2014 and continued with 'Kong: Skull Island' in 2017. The hybridization of the King Kong ape emerged from the fears of Great American Depression of the 1930s with the 'kaiju' Godzilla appearing as a metaphor for atomic terror in Japan may have its interest, but sometimes the sum of two powerful entities does not give good results.

In fact, in this film the absolute protagonist is King Kong, increasingly humanized in gestures, looks and roars, while Godzilla doesn't go beyond guest star status. The action takes place in that place called the Hollow Earth, which replaces Skull Island where it all began. Humans talk more than necessary and hinder more than clarify the story. Kong has an infected tooth extracted in one of the most striking scenes of the film, and at several moments it seems that those responsible for this monstrous franchise want to compete with 'Planet of the Apes', since battles between apes of different heights there are in abundance. Godzilla promises radioactive vomiting, another one appears Historical 'kaiju', Mothra, the moth monsterKing Kong's hand is frozen by the titan Shimo and the creatures devastate Sao Paulo, Cairo and Cádiz in their battles, although Godzilla rests inside the Roman coliseum.
