A libertarian militant from the Buenos Aires party of Ezeiza who responds to the head of La Libertad Avanza in the province, Sebastián Pareja, will take office in the Deputies instead of Diego Santilli, who headed the purple list in the elections, but was appointed by President Javier Milei to head the Ministry of the Interior.
Is called Ruben Torres and strengthens Pareja, who will also enter the Chamber, along with three other leaders who respond to him: Alejandro Carrancio, Miriam Niveyro and Andrea Vera, daughter of the controversial Ramón “Nene” Vera, a former Peronist leader who joined the libertarian forces in 2023.
In the elections of October 26, La Libertad Avanza achieved a surprise victory by more than 41% of the votes and obtained 17 seats. Although position 18 is Ana Tamagno – graduate in literature, singer and wife of Milei’s official biographer, Marcelo Duclos – due to the gender parity law, the next male will enter.
The Supreme Court of Justice already issued a ruling that established the criteria for this type of cases, with the confirmation of Ricardo Garramuño, when Héctor “Tito” Stefani died. The radical Dalila Nora had claimed that place.
Torres responds first to Pablo López, the libertarian political leader of Ezeiza and who is part of the group that Sebastián Pareja has promoted since 2022 to give Milei’s presidential project territorial anchorage in the vast geography of Buenos Aires.
On his social networks, the future deputy has photos and messages that support Milei, Pareja and Karina Milei, the Secretary General of the Presidency, who was strengthened with the new design that the President executed for the second stage of the libertarian government.
Also, the PRO loses a place in the Chamber of Deputies of the future, which is added to the departure of seven legislators who respond to Patricia Bullrich, current Minister of Security and future national senator.
