Visa prices rose to the United States for a recent “integrity rate”

The so -called One Big Beautiful Bill Act, promoted by the president of the United States, Donald Trump, brings together measures on tax reduction, changes in the health system and border control. Within this package, a new “integrity rate” is contemplated for those who request visas worldwide.

Which implies that applicants must cover both current costs and the additional value of this rate.

The bill has already received green light from the United States Senate, consolidating as part of the legislative agenda promoted by the current administration.

However, there is still no defined date for the entry into force of the standard or details on the way in which this extra rate will be charged to those who process their visa.

The new “integrity rate” will have a Value of US $ 250, which will be added to the current visa rate, set at US $ 185. With this, the total cost of a visa application will become US $ 435. If calculated with the current exchange rate, who process the visa in Colombia would pay around $ 1.7 million.

The regulations establish that these costs will not be fixed, as they will adjust annually since fiscal year 2026. The value will be recalculated every year according to the variation of the consumer price index, rounding the final amount to the closest dollar below.

In addition to the main rate, an additional collection of US#24 is contemplated for those who need to fill out form I-94document necessary to register entries and exits from the US territory.
