It’s been two weeks since crime of María Vilma das Dores Cascalho da Silva Boscothe Brazilian woman who had arrived in the country to visit her daughter and died after being attacked by a homeless man in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Balvaneraand his family goes through a “extreme suffering” to ensure that the Argentine Justice system releases the body for repatriation.
This is how he described it this Thursday in dialogue with Infobae the victim’s daughter, Carolina Bizinotowho has already carried out all the procedures requested by the authorities to accelerate the return of his mother’s remains to his native Brazil. However, the definition takes longer than expected and both she and the loved ones of the deceased woman demand greater speed in the procedures.
“I urgently need the body to be released for repatriation.. What we are going through is extreme suffering. I have my father in Brazil, who is a great man and who is not okay with all this either,” lamented Carolina, a medical student at the University of Buenos Aires.
According to the young woman, during the contact with this medium, the Prosecutor’s Office specialized in gender violence No. 16 of the City resolved not to repatriate María Vilma’s body, and then the prosecutor in charge declared incompetent. A similar situation occurred with the judge leading the process, which is why the file is now in the Chamber of Cassation and Appeals for Criminal, Juvenile Criminal, Misdemeanor and Misdemeanors of CABA.
“I need the competent authorities to take the case with the greatest possible urgency. We cannot wait for the times of justice”, he stressed.
Regarding the role of the Brazilian authorities in this case, Carolina explained that they cannot get involved as they would like because it is a case under the purview of the Argentine Justice. “But we are trying to ensure that the maximum authorities in Brazil know, and at least ask for a quick resolution of the case,” he said.
And with evident anguish, he concluded: ““We cannot remain in this anguish for long, it is torture.”
José Diogo Cotrima renowned tiktoker from the Brazilian municipality of Goiania – where María Vilma was from and where Carolina grew up during her childhood -, joined the public request for the Argentine Justice to accelerate the process of repatriation of the victim’s remains. Through a video, the influencer told details of what happened with María Vilma and made the case viral among his more than 300 thousand followers on TikTok and more than 41 thousand on Instagram.
“The Argentine government released the body to be buried there, and not in Brazil, not in Goiania, as the family wants. Where she was born and raised, raised her children and has a family. What sense does it make to bury María Vilma in Argentina?“said @zediogopt – the user for whom Cotrim is known in the world of networks.
Meanwhile, Carolina, María Vilma’s daughter, tries by all means to get the national authorities to decide on the release of her mother’s body so that, once and for all, she can say goodbye to her family and in her homeland.

The young woman, who is taking her final exams in Medicine at the UBA, highlighted the support she receives from the institution, but stressed the urgency of the process: “My whole family is waiting for this moment.
