Mérida, April 26 (EFE).- The National Police has seized two long weapons and a large amount of ammunition after the shooting that occurred this week in the San Roque neighborhood, in Badajoz, after which two men and a woman were arrested accused of the alleged crimes of attempted homicide, membership in an organized criminal group and illicit possession of weapons.
Different calls to RoomCIMACC091 alerted last Thursday of possible shots in the area of the San Roque bastion and Santo Cristo de la Paz street.
As reported this Sunday by the National Police in a statement, the agents arrested two men who had taken refuge in a pharmacy and who were believed to be involved in the shooting.
Those arrested are accused of the crimes of attempted homicide, membership in an organized criminal group and illegal possession of weapons.
The Government delegate in Extremadura, José Luis Quintana, said this week that they were two Colombian citizens.
Two ammunition magazines of different calibers and clothing belonging to the alleged perpetrators have been recovered in the area.
The Judicial and Scientific Police Brigades have taken charge of the rest of the investigations, carrying out a technical police report in the areas where the events occurred.
In a house search carried out in the Tres Arroyos area, they seized two long weapons, numerous ammunition and a stolen high-end vehicle.
In the Cerro de Reyes neighborhood, the agents identified and detained a woman who was carrying a bag with a large amount of ammunition of different calibers, in this case for her alleged responsibility for a crime of illegal possession of weapons and membership in an organized criminal group.
The three detainees, two men and a woman between 21 and 23 years old, have been placed at the disposal of the relevant judicial authority.
These investigations, declared secret, remain open and new arrests or actions are not ruled out. EFE
