Trump gives Hamas until Sunday afternoon to reach an agreement on Gaza

President Donald Trump said he has set as a term on Sunday night so that Hamas accepts his plan to end the war in Gaza, and warned of harsh consequences if the group does not sign.

“An agreement with Hamas must be reached before Sunday at 6 pm, Washington time,” Trump declared Friday on a publication on social networks. “All countries have signed! If this last chance agreement is not reached, a hell will be unleashed, as never before, against Hamas.”

Earlier this week, Trump announced a 20 -point plan along with Israeli prime minister, Benjamín Netanyahu, to end the conflict. This plan would imply the release of all hostages retained by Hamas and stipulates that the group, designated as terrorist organization by the United States, will not have future control in Gaza.

Although Netanyahu has signed the agreement and Trump has claimed to have the support of other Media East AlliesHamas has not yet accepted its terms.

“The great, powerful and very rich nations of the Middle East and the surrounding areas, together with the United States of America, have agreed, with the signing of Israel, La Paz, after 3000 years, in the Middle East. This agreement also saves the lives of all the combatants of Hamas that remain! The details of the document are known by the world, and it is a great agreement for all! In one way or another, we will have peace in the Middle East“Trump added.
