The message, written by an unknown elderly man, claimed that strange events occurred in that same home in the 1980s.
The letter, dated June 18, was written on a lined notebook page. In it, the author claimed to have lived there several decades ago. “Hello, my name is (confidential information). I lived here in the early 80s. Something strange happened in the back room. I was wondering if it still happens. I think it’s a ghost“, can be read in the note, uploaded to the social network Reddit. Jacob, who had been living in the house for years, has assured Newsweek: “I have not experienced any strange or paranormal activity…at least for now.”
Although the discovery occurred in June, Jacob decided to publish the story months later on the Weird subreddit (strange thematic forum in Spanish), coinciding with the approach of Halloween. “I just thought it was strange, but I didn’t post it online until I found the right forum. and I thought it might be appropriate,” he said. The publication did not take long to spread: it already exceeds 26,000 positive votes and accumulates thousands of comments. Many users encouraged him to contact the former owner to reassure him.
