The American Superstar Taylor Swift was left out of the list of nominees for the 68th edition of the Grammy Awards, whose ceremony is scheduled for February 1, 2026 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
The absence of Swift – who already has a notable record of honors in this award – is not due to a drop in popularity or an artistic decline, but to a technical reason: she did not publish eligible material within the period required by The Recording Academy.
According to specialized media, Swift’s most recent album —The Life of a Showgirl (2025)—arrived outside the deadline established to compete for this edition of the awards.
In that sense, it is worth pointing out that the eligibility period for the 2026 Grammys spanned from August 31, 2024 until August 30, 2025.
Swift launched The Life of a Showgirl in October 2025, which automatically left her out of this nomination cycle. There were also no singles or video clips that were published within the established deadline.
However, the album could be considered for the 2027 edition of the awards.
Although she is not listed as a nominee, Taylor Swift’s presence at the gala is not completely ruled out. According to PEOPLEthe artist could attend as a guest, presenter or even as a performer during the ceremony, as long as she is invited by the Academy or the producers of the event.
