The Court of Auditors has agreed to impose sanctions on fourteen political groups, including EH Bildu, Más Madrid, Compromís and Aliança Catalana for exceeding the maximum spending limits in the last municipal elections on May 28, 2023.
The harshest reprimand has come for the Valencian team, with a fine that amounts to more than 380,000 euros for two alleged violations of article 17 of Spanish electoral legislation. In the case of national training, the fine amounts to 245,398.82 euros for allegedly violating regulations 193.2 and 58.1 of the LOREG.
