For the fourth season, A-Train became an informant for The Boys and, finally, he chose to protect his family and disappear from the radar.

Impact of ‘Gene V’ and biological threats
In the finale of the fourth season, butcher He showed his most ruthless side again. After having survived a brain tumor due to the use of Temp V (V24) and after injecting Compound V, he developed a new ability accompanied by parasitic tentacles. The first public manifestation of his power occurred when, upon meeting Victoria Neumann —now an ally of The Boys in the fight against Homelander—attacked her and cut her in two in front of her daughter Zoe.
The universe of The Boys expanded with the arrival of Gene Vwhere the anti-supes virus, created by the scientist Dr. Edison Cardosa in the secret laboratories of Godolkin University. Initially conceived to control superheroes, the virus was modified under pressure from the then dean Indira Shetty to turn it into a weapon of mass extermination. In this same series the compound appeared V1a variant of Compound V capable of preventing physical aging, used by Dr. Thomas Godolkin and Soldier Boy.
Despite occupying the White House, Homelander does not exercise power directly. Along with Sister Sage, they have placed the former Speaker of the House Steven Calhoun as puppet president. Calhoun has declared martial law and authorized the incorporation of hundreds of superheroes as security forces under the exclusive command of Homelander. Meanwhile, Soldier Boy remains comatose in a secret facility, with no word on when he might reappear. The fifth season of The Boys promises to resolve open conflicts and define the destiny of its protagonists, in a scenario where the fight between factions and new biological threats could change everything.
