At least six people died this Thursday when a truck fell from a 200-meter abyss into the Arahuay River, in the province of Canta, which belongs to the department of Lima, reported the Prosecutor’s Office. The Public Ministry confirmed on the social network years.
He added that the Provincial Criminal Prosecutor’s Office of Canta is carrying out immediate and urgent proceedings in response to the fall of said truck into the river and clarified that the accident occurred at kilometer 60 of the highway to Canta, a town that belongs to the mountains of the department of Lima, on 2:00 p.m. local time (7:00 p.m. GMT).
Thanks to the rescue brigades and security forces, a survivor was rescued, who was transferred to the Sergio Bernales de Collique Hospital in the capital.
Although official sources have not confirmed the reason for the fall of the vehicle, in which 10 people were traveling, Local media indicated that it was due to the driver’s confusion.
