Ricardo Palma Book Fair: This is the agenda of activities for Sunday, November 23

The Ricardo Palma Book Fair reached its second day of activities this Sunday, November 23. This event was established in 1972 and during this edition it offers, in addition to stands, a cultural program with more than 160 activities, Free access to the public from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. m, in Miraflores.

The official agenda for this date includes presentations of works, performances for children and a meeting of booktubers. The fair will last three weeks and can be attended until December 9.

This is the agenda of activities for this Sunday, November 23. The events are divided between two auditoriums:

The Ricardo Palma Book Fair It is recognized as the oldest and most emblematic book event in Peru, with an uninterrupted history since its first edition in 1972. It is organized by the Peruvian Book Chamber and the Municipality of Mirafloresand is carried out in tribute to the writer Ricardo Palmaa national literary reference.

Over the years, it has consolidated its national character by facilitating the dissemination of news published by academics, graphic artists and peruvian writers. The event also opens space for young Latin American authors, thus positioning itself as a relevant showcase for contemporary narrative and poetry from the region.

For 19 days, the public will be able to access a program that includes the presentation of books, talks, tributes, workshops, recitals and activities for children. The proposals seek to promote reading and bring the Lima population closer to different cultural manifestations, providing varied options for all attendees. In your edition number 46the Ricardo Palma Book Fair has positioned itself as a benchmark within the calendar of cultural activities in the city of Lima.

Among the authorities who attended the opening of the fair is the Minister of Culture, Alfredo Luna Briceño. At the location, he visited The Independenta stand that brings together more than 60 Peruvian independent publishers with more than 200 titles of different literary genres.

“For the Ministry of Culture, La Independiente is the opportunity to democratize access to spaces for the dissemination of editorial work from the various regions of the country. It is an open space for all those who have begun the challenge of bringing reading and knowledge to more people. I invite you to visit the fair and La Independiente, where you will find a lot of material that you have not seen and should know,” he said.
