Its version with Greek yogurt adds creaminess and an extra nutritional contribution, making it a popular dessert when the heat is on or simply when there is a craving for something delicious, easy and quick.

Lemon mousse with Greek yogurt is a cold, airy dessert with a creamy texture, which is assembled in minutes without an electric mixer or oven. It has only a few ingredients: lemon juice and zest, natural Greek yogurt, condensed milk and unflavored gelatin, achieving a firm and well aromatic mousse.

  • 2 lemons (juice and zest)
  • 400 g of natural unsweetened Greek yogurt
  • 200 g condensed milk
  • 6 g unflavored gelatin (1 sachet)
  • 40 cc of water
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar (optional, according to taste)
  • Extra lemon zest to decorate
  1. Wash the lemons well and grate the peel (avoid the white part so it doesn’t become bitter).
  2. Squeeze the lemons until you obtain 60 cc of juice.
  3. Dissolve the unflavored gelatin in the cold water and let it hydrate for 5 minutes.
  4. In a large bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, condensed milk, juice and lemon zest. Add sugar if you want a sweeter mousse.
  5. Place the hydrated gelatin in the microwave for 10 seconds or in a bain-marie until it is completely liquid (without lumps). It should not boil, just melt.
  6. Quickly add the liquid gelatin to the yogurt and lemon mixture, beating vigorously so that threads do not form.
  7. Pour the preparation into glasses or a large bowl. Place in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to firm up and acquire a mousse texture.
  8. Garnish with lemon zest before serving. For a different presentation, add red fruits or fresh mint.
