US President Joe Bidenexpressed on Thursday that would not pardon his son Hunter, who is on trial in Delaware accused of violating a law that prohibits illegal drug users from possessing firearms.
In an interview with ABC News, Biden responded “Yes” when asked if I would rule out pardoning Hunter. Also He answered affirmatively when asked if he would accept the outcome of the trial.which started this week.
Hunter Biden pleaded not guilty to three felony charges accusing him of failing to disclose his illegal drug use when he purchased a revolver in 2018 and illegally possessing the gun for 11 days.
If convicted of all charges, faces a sentence that could be up to 25 years in prisonalthough defendants generally receive shorter sentences, according to the United States Department of Justice.
