Peru Government presented the National Land Management Policy for 2050

He Peru’s government, through the presidency of the Council of Ministers, PCM, presented the National Territorial Planning PolicyPNOT, at 2050, an initiative that seeks an orderly use of territories to promote the country’s productive and competitive development.

As indicated, the Pnot will allow a more efficient use of natural resources, the use of ecosystems and greater connectivity between territories.

For the implementation of the policy, The three levels of government, private entities, international cooperation agencies, academia and civil society will be involved.

Regional governments and municipalities will have a key role, in charge of formulating and implementing competitiveness and productivity plans, for which they will have technical assistance from the National Council of Competitiveness and Formalization, CNCF.

In that framework, Politics is expected to contribute to the Regional Occupation Index, Orderly and Safe Use of Territoriesthe reduction of disaster risk, equity and competitiveness, the improvement in the decision -making of regional actors for the integral knowledge of the territory and by the strengthening of territories governance.

Likewise, politics is expected to facilitate Public and private investment in economic ecological zoning, conditioning plans, and territorial development.

Pnot’s actions will be in charge of the PCM and the Ministries of Economy and Finance, MEF, Environment (Minam), Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri), and Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS).
