OPEC+ is likely to agree, when it meets on August 2, to a further increase in its oil production targets starting in September, three sources said, even though the US war with Iran is once again preventing some members of the group from increasing their output.
Sources indicated that it is likely that seven key members of Opec+, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Algeria, Kazakhstan and Oman, raise their production target by about 188,000 barrels per day for September, the same figure as for June, July and August.
Neither OPEC nor Russian authorities immediately responded to a request for comment. All sources spoke on condition of anonymity and noted that no final decision has yet been made.
