New York Jets player Kris Boyd was shot in Manhattan on Sunday

“I am praying for New York Jets player Kris Boyd and his loved ones,” said New York Mayor Eric Adams.

New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd was shot in Manhattan early Sunday morning, and media outlets reported that he was in critical but stable condition.

A New York Police Department spokesperson said emergency crews transported a 29-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the abdomen to Bellevue Hospital in “critical but stable” condition, and declined to identify the victim by name.

The police spokesman said that There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.

The Jets said they are “aware of the situation” and declined to comment further.
