The Navial club achieved excellent results in the Andalusian absolute and junior swimming championship, held in Inacua Málaga with the participation of 582 athletes from 61 clubs. The Córdoba entity achieved second place in the absolute mixed classification and first in the junior classification. He also obtained 26 medals (6 gold, 7 silver and 13 bronze). The Córdoba, Montoro, Baena and Montilla Swimming clubs also participated.
Navial finished second overall in the joint mixed table with 1,213 points, 39 points behind the winner, Churriana. Meanwhile, he won the men’s category and finished fourth in the women’s category.
The swimmers from the Vista Alegre club won the mixed junior crown with authority, as they added 801.5 points, 212 more than the second, Mairena (589.5). They also won in the men’s category, being third in the women’s category.
A shower of medals
For the Navial, Marcos Sánchez and Eduardo Elizarán from Cádiz won gold in the men’s 4×200 freestyle relay. Also on the podium were Marta Torrico, Gema Cota, Paula Seco, Helena Díaz, Iker Cantillo, David Mudarra, Juan Riosey Gimbert, Pablo Granado, Guillermo Aragón, Abel Girón, Roberto Calderón and Carlos Valle. The Córdoba medal table was completed by the Las Gabias swimmer Pablo Vargas.
