The government of Jalisco implemented the program My First Income 2026directed to young people from 20 to 24 years old who reside in rented housing within the state.
The initiative seeks to facilitate access to housing under formal lease, promoting independence and autonomy of youth in the municipalities of Guadalajara, Zapopan, San Pedro Tlaquepaque and Tlajomulco de Zúñiga.
The economic benefit for the selected people is distributed as follows:
- $2,500.00 monthly for six consecutive months.
- Possibility of additional support of $2,500.00 for up to two more months, subject to availability of resources and limited to 1,100 shares.
- The total possible amount per beneficiary can be up to $20,000.00 if full support is accessed during the six months plus the additional two, that is, eight months.
To participate, young people must have a income equal to or less than two minimum wages and reside in one of the four aforementioned locations.
The program prioritizes attention to:
- Young people with first-degree relatives missing persons
- Women heads of family
- People with disabilities
- Members of indigenous peoples and communities
- People of the LGBTQ+ population.
The final list of beneficiaries will be published in the Jalisco Housing Institute (IJALVI) and on the official website of the organization.
1. Verify compliance with the requirements:
Be between 20 and 24 years oldreside in one of the participating municipalities and not exceed the income limit of two minimum wages.
Not receive similar support from another instance.
2. Gather the necessary documentation:
- CURP
- Official ID current
- Lease formal and current
- Proof of address
- Payroll receipt either employment letter; If you do not have them, present income statement
- Bank account in your name with account statement cover
- free writing under oath of truth where you declare that you do not receive similar support
3. Choose the registration method:
- In person: Go to the offices of the Jalisco Housing Institute between the first business day after the publication of the call and the May 3, 2026
- Digital: Go to https://miprimerarenta.jalisco.gob.mx del May 4 to 31, 2026
4. Submit the application: Complete the registration by delivering the documentation through the chosen channel.
If the registration is digital, wait for validation and an appointment for the in-person delivery of documents and signing of the application.
5. Check results: The list of beneficiaries will be published in the IJALVI and on the official site.
Registrations can be made in person in the offices of the Jalisciense Housing Institute, located in López Cotilla No. 595, Col. Mexicaltzingo, Guadalajara.
Business hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.from the first business day after the publication of the call and until the May 31, 2026.
Another option is the digital record through the platform https://miprimerarenta.jalisco.gob.mx, available from May 4 to 31, 2026 or until the assigned resources are exhausted.
Once the information is validated, the applicant will receive a appointment to deliver the documentation and sign the application in person.
The validity of the program begins on the business day following the publication of the call and ends on the May 31, 2026 or until the assigned resources are exhausted.
