Former president José Mujica made his first public appearance since beginning radiotherapy to treat cancer in the esophagus. It was in a dunk on the 609 list in Florida.
“They started treating me. Every day I have radiation on my belly. I'm going to give it. I can't go overboard. I can't do five or six acts anymore. I went out today and now I'm going home to drink mate and stay calm,” she said in a press conference broadcast by Telemundo.
The former president began radiotherapy treatment this Wednesday. According to what his personal doctor Raquel Pannone told El Observador, Mujica is in good condition and it will be evaluated as the weeks go by how long the treatment will last.
The treatment is being carried out at the Cor Clinic, founded by Tabaré Vázquez and which is currently managed by his son Álvaro.
Mujica said that Romina Celeste's false complaint against Orsi was for “money”
In turn, the former president referred to the false complaint by Romina Celeste Pappaso and Paula Díaz against the pre-candidate Yamandú Orsi. “There is a political operation, but it is not for politics. There are people who are chewing money,” he said. “There is no doubt,” he concluded.
