Controversy once again surrounds the personal life of the renowned Peruvian comedian Melcochita, after his daughter, Susan Villanuevapublicly revealed what would be the true reason for the break with Monserrat Seminary. In an intervention broadcast on Magaly Medina’s program this February 24, the artist’s daughter presented a video that, according to her, would show a alleged infidelity that occurred in 2023 with a close family friend.
The revelation not only reopens family wounds, but also exposes intimate details that, until now, remained in the realm of rumors.
According to Susan’s testimony, suspicions about a parallel relationship began to circulate more than two years ago, when comments on social networks alerted about the existence of a man named Eduardo Cardenasknown as “Lalo”, who supposedly maintained a closer than usual bond with Monserrat.
“He told us why the breakup was, it was infidelity. This is the video. His name is Eduardo, but out of affection he calls him Lalo. There are many videos that he shares with the two of them, that was in 2023. It was more than two years ago“, declared Susan Villanueva on television. Her words were accompanied by images where Monserrat could be seen kissing the indicated man, in a record that, according to the family, dates back to that year.
The dissemination of the material was presented as evidence that would confirm what for months was considered a rumor. Susan explained that the initial alert came when Monserrat was doing live broadcasts and several users began writing insistent messages in the comments about “a certain Eduardo who lives in Virginia.”
“When she went live, people started writing in the comments: ‘Find out about a certain Eduardo who lives in Virginia, he is her husband.’ That’s where we started investigating, we thought it was AI. She tells him: ‘It was just a kiss, nothing else happened’”, he recounted.
The detail about the possible digital manipulation shows that, at first, the family doubted the authenticity of the material. However, as the days passed, they claim to have corroborated that the video was real. The program also broadcast a private conversation between Susan and the man involved, in which he apparently acknowledges the existence of the video and refers to the person who leaked it.
In the chat shown on air, it reads: “(The crazy woman already admitted the video) I don’t remember and I already know who gave them the video, it’s just that I come out very wrinkled, it was my ex from Peru. Maybe he wanted to earn something“For the artist’s family, this response reinforces the version that there was a link between Monserrat and Eduardo Cárdenas.
Beyond the specific episode of the kiss, Susan went further to suggest that the relationship would have had greater implications. According to his version, Monserrat had tried on two occasions elope with Laloleaving even advanced logistical plans.

The emotional impact on the family, Susan hinted, was profound. The fact that the man pointed out was a close family friend would have increased the feeling of betrayal. In the intimate environment of any relationship, trust is a central axis, and when the close circle is involved, the fracture is usually more painful.
So far, Monserrat Seminario has not issued a detailed response to these new revelations. In previous public interventions, he has defended his position and minimized the scope of the video, pointing out that “it was just a kiss.”
