All the dissidents were part of the “Martín Villa” and “Armando Ríos” substructures, which carry out the orders of aliases Pescado and “Jimmy”, in charge of perpetrating terrorist actions against the civilian population and the public force in the region.
In the offensive actions, 23 rifles, six short weapons, five machine guns, three mortars and more than 123 explosive devices were seized.in addition to administration and communication teams used by criminal structures.
It was confirmed that The troops will maintain the military deployment in the area, due to the estimated presence of more than 120 members of the dissidentswho would be responsible for controlling drug trafficking routes leading to Venezuela and Brazil.
The three recovered minors are under the protection of the competent authorities, who are carrying out the procedures to restore their rights.
One of the spokespersons for the official report was the commander of the Military Forces, General Francisco Cubides, who narrated what motivated the decision to bomb the aforementioned substructures.
“In this operation, last Friday there was fighting in Calamar, there our Army hit these structures. As retaliation, they located a peasant house and set it on fire, preventing the forces from seizing the material.. It is customary to burn houses to avoid seizures, we cannot allow that to happen. “It is a cowardly and vile way of affecting the civilian population.”
Cubides confirmed that the bodies of the discharged guerrillas were transported to San José del Guaviare, and their identity will be reported when the forensic examinations are completed.
“We are affecting command and control, the armed capacity they have had is being impacted and, above all, their finances because of their presence in the region, where they seek to continue extorting, with drug trafficking and illegal mining.”
Finally, The commander of the Military Forces confirmed that in recent months the payment of more than $5,000 million has been approved for information provided by third parties.
“I want to thank the community, which has been collaborating on the presence of these subjects throughout the country. More than $5.8 billion have been approved for information that has allowed this type of missions. This shows that reporting pays.”
In that sense, the Minister of Defense, Pedro Sánchez, asked that the help of citizens be maintained to continue neutralizing more valuable targets.
“It reflects in some way that rewards work, it allows us to access information faster, to reach the security rings of high-value targets. “Let us continue providing information, which is necessary to anticipate any terrorist attack, which is the cowardly expression of these criminals when they cannot respond to public forces.”
Sánchez sent a direct message to “Iván Mordisco”, telling him that if he does not surrender, his fate will be to be shot down or captured by the Military Forces.
“The best thing this person who has done so much damage to Colombia, who has taken the legs of our indigenous people, who has recruited children and adolescents, who has extorted and displaced our peasants and indigenous people, can do is demobilize, Otherwise the force of the State will capture him or use force against him”.
Finally, the Minister of Defense responded to the criticism that the national government has received about the way it combats drug trafficking, ensuring that as long as the demand continues it will be impossible to end the problem.
“As long as there is cheese, there will be mice. The effort of this Government is to dismantle drug trafficking… We will seize more than 900 tons by the end of the year, but as long as there is demand, it will be impossible to eliminate. As long as there are consumers it will be impossible to cancel production.”
