Telecinco continues to invest in fiction, and does so with the help of an expert: Aurora Guerra. The creator of ‘El secreto de Puente Viejo’ has been commissioned to write ‘Ella, maldita alma’, the new Telecinco series based on a text by Manuel Rivas and which will star the trio formed by Maxi IglesiasMartino Rivas and Karina Kolokolchykova.
This new production by Mediaset España in collaboration with Plano a Plano tells the story of an impossible love between two people who fight not to succumb to the strong feelings they have: Fermin is a charismatic priest who falls in love with Ana, the wife of his cousin Isaac. Isaac’s family, who are almost like a brother, welcomed him into their home since childhood and the three of them form a complicated love triangle.
Love, family, passion, guilt, betrayal and loyalty These are some of the themes and values that the series will present to the viewer, creating a portrait of society through the daily lives of a range of characters with different relationships, motivations and concerns.
In La Isleta, the imaginary town where this fiction takes place, we will experience some plots of political intrigue and corruption, while the characters will live in contact with current aspects with topics such as the war in Ukraine or the multiculturalism of some areas of Spain.
This is ‘She, damned soul’
The life of Fermín, an attractive young priest much appreciated by the inhabitants of La Isleta, the charming coastal town where he runs his parish, is entangled when his beloved cousin Isaac and his beautiful wife, Ana, move in. Almost immediately, Fermín begins to feel a strong attraction to Ana, and when he discovers that she shares his feelings, an intense internal struggle arises within him. Giving in to temptation would mean a double betrayal: of God, to whom he has consecrated his life, and of his cousin, whom he considers a brother.
Ana, for her part, feels an insurmountable debt to Isaac for having rescued her from a difficult and tragic past. Thus, both find themselves trapped in a nightmare in which they must sacrifice their happiness for loyalty. In this context, the couple will not only face a profound moral dilemma, but also more earthly obstacles… and dangerous ones.
