‘MasterChef 14’ experiences its hardest farewell to one of the favorite contestants: shock and tears in a night full of dizziness and vomiting

The second gala of MasterChef 14 has made it clear that this edition is not going to give anyone a break. The program fired Vincentone of the candidates most loved by his colleagues and with the greatest potential in cooking, in an elimination that fell like a bucket of cold water on the set. The surprise was huge and the reactions were immediate: faces of disbelief, silence and even tears among those who did not expect to lose one of their own so soon.

The RTVE culinary program once again demonstrates that it is not enough to have talent: you have to know how to manage it under pressure. And that’s not easy when the pace is frenetic and each test can change everything. The contestants are just beginning to adapt, but they have already seen that any mistake is costly. Vicente’s expulsion is the best example of this.

The night, in fact, was especially intense. One of the most talked about moments came with a test in which the spice was the protagonist. Some candidates had to face increasingly stronger sauces to gain advantages, which ended up causing quite complicated situations. Camila got dizzy in the middle of the kitchen and had to stop, while Gema couldn’t hold on and left the set to vomit. Beyond the anecdotal, the challenge made it clear that the pressure in the program goes far beyond cooking well.

After the tests, the dreaded moment of elimination arrived. Vicente, Carlota and Soko They risked continuity in the program in a very tight decision. Finally, the jury made up of Pepe Rodríguez, Jordi Cruz and Marta Sanahuja decided that it was Vicente who will hang the apron.

Vincente says goodbye to kitchens

The announcement touched his colleagues, especially Soko, who could not hold back his tears: “I’m broken, really. You just don’t know how good it is, the art it hashow funny it is, the sarcasm, everything, everything. It’s divine, I love it. And the fact that we haven’t been able to meet him makes me sad.” A reaction that reflected what many thought: Vicente not only stood out in the kitchen, he had also managed to win the affection of the group for his way of being, his humor and his closeness. His departure left the feeling that the contest was losing someone who still had a lot to show. Carlota and Soko, for their part, managed to narrowly escape. Of course, they were not spared from the jury’s warning, which was quite clear: you have to wear your hats. batteries and raise the level if they want to move forward.

At his farewell, Vicente was sincere and quite affected: “I’m leaving super sad, with impostor syndrome, a little with the feeling that I don’t even know how to make a fried egg. I’ve been cooking for half my life and suddenly I don’t know how to do anything. I’m angry. But I’ll keep fighting until I can open something of mine, something intimate. I have said it from the beginning, I like that people enjoy eating and from here onwards. And don’t fight so much, man.” Even so, he also wanted to stay with the positive and highlighted the good atmosphere with his teammates and the learning experience.

His enthusiasm for cooking remains intact and, although his time in the program has been short, he assured that it has served as an impetus to continue fighting for it: “For me, MasterChef has been a dream, I recommend it to all people who like to cook. The team is great, my colleagues are the most and The judges, come on, I don’t have a negative word to say about them.. And I’m very sad that it’s over now.”

From the jury, Pepe Rodríguez tried to encourage him by reminding him that he had already achieved something important: “You have to be very proud of yourself, Vicente. You have surpassed thousands of candidates. I know it hurts to leave these kitchens so soon. “You get a unique experience.”
