The movie ‘Trash: Thieves of Hope‘occupies prime time of laSexta This Monday (10:30 p.m.). Two children from the favelas of Rio de Janeiro find a wallet in the dump where they search every day, but they do not imagine that this discovery could change their lives. When the local police show up to offer them a generous reward for the wallet, the two boys, Rafael and Gardo, realize that they have found something important. They decide to turn to their friend Rata and the three of them embark on an extraordinary adventure to try to get hold of the wallet and discover the secret it hides.
‘Travelers Four‘ will visit the places where the films ‘Ocho Apellidos…’ were filmed in its new installment Four (10:50 p.m.) Reporter Aranzazu Fuertes takes a film-tourist tour of some of the places where various scenes from the saga were filmed, in a special programme that will start in Morocco, the setting where much of ‘Ocho apellidos marroquís’ was filmed. The trip begins in Essaouria, where María Ramos, the actress who played Hamida, acts as a guide to discover this fishing town, famous for its walls and its medina, for being a refuge for kitesurfers from all over the world and for the production of argan oil. Once in the Basque Country, the first stop will be Zumaia, the town in Guipuzcoa that served as the main setting for ‘Ocho apellidos vascos’. There they visit the Plaza de San Juan Iturri, the hermitage of San Telmo and enjoy a spectacular menu at the Asador Bedua, the same one where the emblematic sequence of the film was filmed. From there they move on to Getaria, where they continue exploring Basque cuisine with the actress Miriam Cabeza, Amaia’s best friend in the film. In the port they will try the typical grilled fish of the town and toast with txacoli, the traditional white wine of the area. The Basque journey will culminate in Leitza, a small and traditional Navarrese town, where they discover the Aspain-Txiki farmhouse, home of the protagonist in the fiction. The route will continue in Catalonia, the setting for ‘Ocho apellidos catalanes’. Together with Josep Riera, who played the mayor of the town, they visit Monells, the small medieval town where most of the film was shot. Characterized by its arches and cobbled streets, the actor leads a tour in which they try botifarra and snails with tomato, meet the group that built the famous castells and visit Can Llambí, the famous 12th-century farmhouse that Rosa María Sardá lives in in the feature film.
