The National Water Commission and the National Meteorological Service predict heavy to very heavy rains with electrical shocks in the southeast of the country for the period from 3:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 06:00 hours this Tuesday, June 9. The conditions also favor the possible formation of waterspouts off the coasts of Veracruz and Tabasco.

In Veracruzthe regions of Papaloapan, Los Tuxtlas and Olmeca register heavy to very heavy rains. In Oaxacarainfall of that intensity affects the Mixteca, Cañada, Papaloapan, Sierra Norte and Istmo regions. In Tabascothe areas of Chontalpa, Center, Sierra and Pantanos are under the same forecast, as are the north, center and Istmo-Costa de Chiapas.

At a level of lower intensity – showers and heavy occasional rains – are the Veracruz regions of Huasteca Alta, Huasteca Baja, Nautla and Totonaca, the Central Valleys and the Costa de Oaxacaand the Ríos region in Tabasco.
