Investigators searched the offices of the American streaming giant Netflix in France and the Netherlands as part of a preliminary investigation into tax fraud laundering.a French judicial source reported on Tuesday.
The French investigation was opened in November 2022, the source said.
French and Dutch investigators were collaborating on the investigation and Dutch authorities were simultaneously searching the company’s European headquarters in Amsterdam.added the source.
“Cooperation between French and Dutch authorities has been underway for many months as part of these procedures,” the source said.
Netflix representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
