His experience as a senator, ambassador and senior advisor to the presidency on disability issues make him a reference for those of us who want a more inclusive country, with more opportunities for all. Jairo is a man of great capacity, with a great vision about the country’s challenges, and that is what we need in this campaign: join forces and add ideas.”

Pinzón stressed that Clopatofsky’s arrival is not an indifferent case, and anticipated that in the coming days more political figures and citizens committed to his project will join. “The purpose of our campaign is precisely that: unite, add and build. “Every person who joins does so with the idea of contributing to the growth of Colombia, and Jairo represents that perfectly,” added the presidential candidate.

During the interview with Infobae ColombiaPinzón was clear in expressing that his campaign seeks to transcend traditional party differences, in order to build a political project that brings together citizens of different origins and sensitivities.

For him, the arrival of figures like Clopatofsky is an opportunity to strengthen a common vision: “Here we are not looking for promises, we are looking for people who come to add their capacity, their vision, their heart and their commitment to the country. In the case of Jairo, he said it himself, he comes to join a common cause. What we are looking for is to find the strength for Colombia to move forward in a unified way.”

The presidential candidate highlighted that the vision of his campaign is not only political, but also emotional: “It’s not just about having the technical or political capacity, it’s about connecting with people, understand their problems, their aspirations and work together for a better future. Jairus represents that. A committed man, with experience, but also with a heart willing to work for all Colombians.”

The arrival of Jairo Clopatofsky to Pinzón’s campaign team occurs at a time when the candidate is seeking to strengthen his support base, both in the political sectors and among citizens. According to his statements, it is crucial to have allies who share the vision of a country that overcomes historical challenges and looks to the future with hope.

“This is not a question of parties, nor of internal struggles. It is a question of the country, of how we can all contribute so that Colombia advances. Today, Jairo joins with the same objective, and as he said, more people will come. We all add up, and that is what we need most,” Pinzón concluded.

Jairo Clopatofsky is a well-known figure in Colombian politics with a long career. He was a senator in two terms, in 1994 and 2002, and in his career he maintains close relationships with important figures in national politics, including former president Álvaro Uribe Vélez.

However, over the years, his political route took an important turn, moving away from Uribism and towards the Party of the U, where he held several positions during the government of Juan Manuel Santos.

During the Santos government, Clopatofsky played a prominent role as director of Coldeportes, an entity in charge of promoting sports and recreation in Colombia. In addition, he was appointed consul in Vancouver (Canada), until 2014. Later, in the administration of Iván Duque, he assumed the Colombian embassy in Jamaica, a position he held until the end of his term.
