Jorge Javier Vázquez, in addition to presenting ‘El diario de Jorge’ and ‘Gran Hermano’, writes his weekly blog on Lecturas, where he comments on current events. This week, the presenter has given his opinion on one of the most talked about topics in recent weeks, the arrival of Broncano to TVE and its competition with ‘El Hormiguero’.

Since the arrival of ‘La Revuelta’, Broncano’s programme has surpassed Motos in audiences on most of its days. Even so, both are achieving very good results, something that Jorge Javier has highlighted: “As a professional in the media, the fact that Broncano is doing well and that Motos continues to achieve spectacular audiences is excellent news. When people constantly talk about television being in decline, These two gentlemen make millions of people connect with them. If you are in this business and you are not happy, you are an idiot.”.

In addition, the Telecinco presenter has warned of what could happen to Broncano, based on his personal experience: “For several weeks, everyone will speak well of him. He will become the fashionable personality. He will receive awards. But, Before long, those same people who praise him will start to turn up their noses.“, said Jorge Javier after the numerous compliments that the TVE presenter is receiving. In fact, the presenter went further on how the public works: “We love to praise, but then we hate people living happily installed in success.”

However, Vázquez also praised the intelligent humour with which Broncano has also faced criticism of his signing on public television: “They are not going to get rid of him just like that. He has handled the criticism that has rained down on him when he signed for RTVE admirably.”.

In addition to Broncano, the presenter of ‘Big Brother’ has also referred to the competition between Broncano and Motos, whom he has congratulated for the great results in audiences that he is also reaping in prime time: “After so many years, ‘El hormiguero’ continues to have stratospheric audiences. It’s good for Motos to have an adversary. And for television fans, it’s a luxury to be spectators of this duel.”, thus highlighting how positive it is for television that there is once again greater television consumption in this time slot.

Finally, Jorge Javier has also shared a message of support for Carlos Latre and the ‘Babylon Show’ team after its cancellation: “I know what he must be going through and it saddens me greatly.. The cancellation of a program brings sadness and helplessness. But that is our profession and we have to deal with the pain caused by burying a project in which we always put hope,” words that he surely said remembering his also brief adventure with ‘Cuentos Chinos’.
