The series ‘Rapa’ comes to an end this Thursday, September 12, with the premiere of its third and final season on Movistar Plus+. After being officially presented last week at FesTVal 2024, the fiction starring Javier Cámara and Mónica López comes to an end. To promote the end of the series, the actor will go to ‘El hormiguero’, however, he will do so alone without being accompanied by his fictional partner.
The reasons for this absence are due to the controversial statements made by the actress in an interview for Ràdio Estel. In the aforementioned media, Mónica López strongly attacked the Antena 3 programme: “She should not go to El Hormiguero. That man whitewashes fascism and whitewashes unpresentable people. People in the culture cannot go to El Hormiguero,” she said about the programme about the ants.
In the same interview, the actress revealed the tough discussions she had with 7yacción, producer of ‘El hormiguero’, for declining the invitation.TO El Hormiguero and that gentleman don’t give a damn whether I go or not. I refused to go and I didn’t go.but poor Javier Cámara had to go,” he confessed during his meeting with the aforementioned media.
The truth is that Mónica López herself did not hesitate to share with Javier Cámara the attempt to change her mind: “He told me ‘you have to go, Mónica, 3 million people will watch it in one session. A lot of people will watch the series’, but you don’t have to go to these places. You don’t have to go for ethical reasons,” she said in the interview.
