Conversations with the United States are impossible unless Washington changed their pressure policy, the minister of Iranian Foreign Affairs, while Tehran prepares to respond to the letter of President Donald Trump in which he proposes negotiations on a new nuclear agreement.

However, Iran Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchisaid Thursday that Tehran would respond soon to both the “threats and the opportunities” of the letter.
Although he leaves the door open to a nuclear pact with Tehran, Trump has restored the “maximum pressure” campaign that he applied in his first mandate as president, which includes efforts to reduce to zero oil exports in the country.
The United States has issued four rounds of Iran oil sales from Trump’s return to the White House.

After leaving the nuclear pact in 2018, Trump reimputed the sanctions that have paralyzed Iran’s economy. A year later, the Islamic Republic began to break the restrictions of the pact on the nuclear program and has far exceeded its limits.
“In my opinion, the 2015 pact in its current form cannot be reactivated. It would not be in our interest because our nuclear situation has advanced significantly and we can no longer return to the above conditions,” Said Araqchi, who however stressed that the 2015 pact could still be “a base and a model for negotiations.”
Tehran has been saying that the program is only for peaceful purposes.
