Ignacio Buse loses to Frances Tiafoe after a great match at the Rome Masters 1000

The Peruvian ‘Nacho’ Buse fell 2-1 against the American Frances Tiafoe in the second round of the Rome Masters 1000, after winning the first set and exhibiting a high level of play.

Ignacio Buse had an outstanding performance against Frances Tiafoenumber 22 in the ATP ranking and seeded 20 in the tournament. The 22-year-old from Lima surprised by taking the first set 7-6, coming back from 2-5 down and saving a set point, which ignited the stands and showed his growth in the tennis elite.

In the second set, Tiafoe regained strength and won 6-3 after a disputed set with moments of tension, including a clash with the judge after a disputed play. Buse managed a break, but the American held firm on key points to level the match.

Already in the third set, Tiafoe made the difference from the beginning, took advantage of his opportunities and closed the match 6-1. Buse left a pleasant impression, adding experience and showing that he can compete on equal terms against top rivals on the main circuit.
