The application of the last stage of the joint agreement signed between the Argentine Federation of Commerce and Services Employees (FAECYS) and the business chambers of the sector represents a key update for those who work under the Collective Labor Agreement 130/75.

The current salary increase, defined in the most recent joint negotiation, contemplates a total recomposition of 5% on the basic scales. This improvement was distributed in stages, with a 2% increase in April, followed by two tranches of 1.5%, one in May and the other in June. Thus, this month’s salaries reflect the last agreed tranche, which consolidates a new salary floor for all categories of the sector.

The agreement not only provides for percentage increases. During the quarter, retail employees also access a total extraordinary bonus of $120,000. This amount is made up of a fixed sum of $100,000which was distributed in the previous months, and an additional $20,000 which is incorporated in April, May and June. According to the official grid released by FAECYS, the salary values ​​for June already include these non-remunerative amounts, although the settlement of the bonus is carried out independently.

The June salary settlement shows that practically all categories exceed one million gross pesos. The salary structure varies depending on the position and seniority, but each category receives the corresponding adjustments and additional benefits. The payment of the bonus is regulated by law 27,073, which sets the deadline for collection as June 30. This year, the maximum deadline is Tuesday, but the regulations give companies up to four additional business days to complete the accreditation, which can postpone payment until Monday, July 6. This margin seeks to facilitate the administrative management of settlements.

In addition to the percentage increase and the extraordinary bonus, the agreement includes non-remunerative sums that are incorporated into the monthly settlement. These amounts do not generate retirement contributions or employer contributions, but they influence the calculation of concepts such as presenteeism, seniority, overtime, vacations, compensation and the bonus itself.

As an example, if a worker receives additional payments for cash handling, commissions or presenteeism, these amounts are also added to determine the final SAC amount. Those who are employed under reduced hours, part-time hours or have unjustified absences receive increases and additional sums proportional to the time worked.

The understanding signed between FAECYS and the business chambers include a salary review clause for June. Both parties committed to meeting this month to analyze the evolution of inflation and the impact on salary scales. The stated objective is to sustain the purchasing power of workers in the face of the increasing cost of living and to keep values ​​updated based on economic conditions.

The non-remunerative sums agreed upon until June will be incorporated into the basic salary only as of July 2026. In addition, the agreement establishes an increase in the employer contribution allocated to the social work of the sector, which went from $8,500 to $28,000 monthly for each worker included in the agreement.
