The Cisneros Group prepares a fund of US$1,000 million to invest in VenezuelaThe group’s executive director, Adriana Cisneros, said Thursday.

““We are going to invest in the sectors in which we feel comfortable.”Cisneros said at a press conference in Caracas.
“There is receptivity to invest in Venezuela,” added Cisneros, who added that investors from Latin America, the United States and sovereign funds have interest in participating in the private fund.
Cisneros said that the fund, which will be called Intrépida, will be in the United States and they are currently working with all the regulations. He added that he estimates that in a year the investments will be materialized.
He also pointed out that they will not invest in oil or mining, two of the sectors to which The government of interim president Delcy Rodríguez seeks to attract national and international private capital.
“Venezuela is already attractive for investments,” said the executive, adding that investors have indicated that with the support of the United States it makes sense to invest.
