Ecuador celebrates a new achievement in the luxury tourism industry after five of its hotels were distinguished by the prestigious Michelin Guide with its coveted “Michelin Keys”, a recognition granted to the best lodging establishments in the world for their exceptional service, innovative proposals, architecture, gastronomy and unique experiences. The winners are located in different parts of the country, including Quito, Guayaquil, Otavalo and the Galapagos Islands, and represent the country’s tourism and cultural potential on the international scene.

Among the recognized hotels, Mashpi Lodge and Pikaia Lodge took home the award of two Michelin keys, a level reserved for those accommodations that offer extraordinary experiences in all aspects.
