In the afternoon today, an earthquake was recorded in Lima, Peru. According to what was reported by the Geophysical Institute of Peru (IGP), the magnitude was 5.4 and The epicenter was located 36 kilometers west of Huaral.
The tremor was recorded at 3:53 pm (Peru time) and according to IGP reports the depth was 57 kilometers. Given the facts, The Directorate of Hydrography and Navigation of the Peruvian Navy via X, ruled out that the earthquake could cause a tsunami.

For its part, The National Emergency Operations Center (Coen) stated that vulnerable areas in the capital were monitored to record any possible damage.
