According to polls in Mexico, it is expected that Claudia Sheinbaum will be the winner of the presidency of that country with 56.9% of the votes, leading by 25.7 points over Xóchitl Gálvez (31.2%), his contender from the PAN, PRI and PRD; while third place will go to the emecista Jorge Álvarez Máynez (11.9%).
These results are those that were seen in the last national survey “Electoral Trends”, carried out by Mitofsky for El Economista, facing June 2, 2024 when the presidential elections will be held to meet the successor of Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
In this survey it was learned that the advantage is for the presidential candidate of Morena, who, apparently, will prevail over Xóchitl in the 23 states with governor of Morena or alliesin the seven with a PAN, PRI or PRD state leader and in the two governed by MC.
The “opinion about the candidates” survey shows that Sheinbaum and Álvarez Máynez have more positive opinions, 61.1 and 39.4%, respectively, than negative opinions (21.3 and 15.2%), and that Xóchitl has more negative opinions (43.6%) than positive ones (29.2%).
