TVE continues to maintain a firm commitment to fiction and the next to be released will be ‘Cicatriz’. It is a thriller based on the novel by Juan Gómez-Jurado that already has a release date on the public channel and that Afterwards it can be seen in Prime Video.
This production is set in the same universe as ‘Reina Roja’ and it was last year when it was announced that the public and streaming platform would be in charge of producing a series about the novel. Love, betrayal and revenge are the necessary ingredients of this new series. In it, the story of Simon, a computer genius with social phobia who is on the verge of bankruptcy, is told, along with his inseparable friend and lawyer Tomas. This young man, who also takes care of his brother Arturo, has created a notation called LISA that can guess people’s moods and solve their problems. Despite arousing great interest in a billionaire, the test fails, but he gets a second chance with a deadline.
At the same time, Simon falls in love with a young Ukrainian woman, called Irina, whom he meets through a dating website. Despite the negativity of Tomas, who suspects that the girl is with his friend out of self-interest, Simon trusts her blindly.
Irina, on the other hand, survived a tragedy in Ukraine, where she lost her family when she was just a child. Since then, her life has been focused on revenge and, to do so, she embarks on a journey from her country through the Balkans with one final destination in mind: Spain. Her primary objective is to take revenge on the Russian mafia operating in Bilbao, which was responsible for the death of her parents and the disappearance of her only sister.
