A four-day long weekend (since the holiday on Sunday the 8th passes to Monday) in which the Christmas lighting, the nativity scene routes, the Patios at Christmas and activities for the little ones set the pace. And if you want to escape the festive atmosphere, even for a few hours, the Gorka Chillida exhibition at the Palacio de Congresos, the humor and music sessions at the Avanti Theater or the concerts at the Ambigú de la Axerquía. The Christmas program begins in Córdoba
With the lighting of the Christmas lights on Wednesday, December 4, Córdoba officially welcomes Christmas. Ahead, a month of celebration for which the Córdoba City Council has scheduled more than 350 activities.
For this bridge, in addition to the novelty of the new light and sound show in Cruz Conde, you will be able to see zambombas, Christmas parades, the municipal Nativity scene, Choir Exhibition or Christmas in the Patios.

Starfall in Cruz Conde
This Christmas, Córdoba premieres a new light and sound show in Cruz Conde. After five years with a show that has brought together thousands of Cordobans and visitors to the Center of Córdoba, Cross Count Leave behind the half arc of lights to welcome a shower of stars where trees are incorporated as a decorative element.
Five daily passes
The Cruz Conde show will consist of five passes daily musicals, three of them will have reduced sound so that people with spectrum autistic they can enjoy. In addition, you will have a magnetic loop so that people who are deaf or need hearing aids can also participate. The schedules are as follows:

The Patios at Christmas are faithful to their date with the holidays from December 5 to 29with the opening of 42 venues on designated days within six fixed routeswhich will be enlivened by the presence of different flamenco groups, choirs, campanilleros and zambombas.
This bridge opening days are December 5, 6, 7 and 8, on schedule from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, with flamenco performances, zambombas and Christmas carols.

Nativity Scene Contest
On December 6, the 43rd Cajasur Nativity Scene Contestorganized by Cajasur and the Córdoba Nativity Scene Association, with the participation of 36 nativity scenes.

The spaces will open at 17 hours and they will close at 22 from Monday to Friday and, in the case of Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, the schedule will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.. Santa Claus Village in Fuenseca
A little piece of Lapland has been installed in the Fuenseca summer cinema, converted into Santa Claus’s Christmas village in an activity for the whole family. The space is enlivened with shows, parades, artificial snow, stalls with churros, chocolate, donuts and hot dogs, and a space dedicated to children being able to hand in their letters to Santa Claus. The hours are from 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Friday to Sunday.
Chiquilandia
It is a fixed date at Christmas in Córdoba, Chiquilandia is preparing to open its doors and liven up the Christmas holidays for the little ones (and also their families) for more than a month, as one of the benchmarks children’s leisure for this time. Its facilities, located in the Vial Norte (in front of the AVE station) They are already a traditional image of the festivities in the capital and have become one of the best pastimes of the Christmas season.
Christmas in the province
The municipalities of the province that have not yet turned on the Christmas lighting will do so during this festive long weekend, also dedicating themselves to a Christmas program that will travel through all the cardinal points of the province of Córdoba.

A Christmas Carol at the Grand Theater
Charles Dickens’ classic comes to the Gran Teatro de Córdoba this long weekend with a very special proposal for the whole family. Juan Fernández is in charge of giving life to the miserly Mr. Scrooge who is visited on Christmas Eve by three spirits that represent his past, his present and his future, in a version of the play with music and touches of humor.
In total there will be five performances: on December 6 at 7:30 p.m.; on December 7, at 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and on December 8, at 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased here.
Gorka Chillida Exhibition
Gorka Chillidagrandson of Eduardo Chillida, follows in his grandfather’s footsteps as a sculptor and draftsman and presents an exhibition of more than a hundred works in Córdoba under the title ‘Concentration, order and routine’. The exhibition will remain at the Córdoba Conference Center until January 12, 2025.
Humor and music at the Avanti Theater

Musical event at Ambigú
On Saturday the 7th, Ambigú of Axerquía receives Twangueropseudonym of the guitarist and composer Diego García, who presents their seventh album ‘Panamerica’. He is accompanied by an energetic Rock and Roll trio, fusing mainly electric guitar instrumentals and the heritage of North American rock, adding classic influences of bolero, cumbia, Tejano, ranchera and Latin American rumba, along with touches of Hawaiian surf, country music and the subtle tremor of the pedal steel. La Granja Musical at the El Brillante Theater
