The Israeli Army launched a offensive against Gaza after the attacks carried out on October 7 by Hamas, which left around 1,200 dead and around 240 kidnapped. The Gazan authorities, controlled by the Islamist group, have put the number of Palestinians dead at more than 20,900, to which are added more than 280 dead at the hands of the Israeli Army and from attacks by settlers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
