The German Classic (or Der Klassiker as they say in German) left two good news for Luis Díaz’s Bayern Munich: the leadership of the Bundesliga and the renewal of the Belgian Vincent Kompany as its technical director.
Regarding the latest news that was presented on October 21, 2025, the continuity of the Belgian coach for the next four seasons at the helm of the “Bavarian Giants” was made official, who are preparing for what will be the match against Bruges of Belgium for the UEFA Champions League at the Allianz Arena in Munich.

Through their official website, the Bavarians announced the news, along with a photograph showing Vincent Kompany in the center, along with Herbert Hainer, president of the club, Jan-Christian Dreesen, general director of the club and Max Eberl, general sports director, where the new contract will run until the 2028-2029 season:
“FC Bayern and Vincent Kompany have extended their contract early until June 30, 2029. The head coach’s previous contract was valid until the summer of 2027. Kompany (39) arrived at Säbener Straße from English club FC Burnley in the 2024/25 season.
In their first season together, FC Bayern and their Belgian coach celebrated victory in the German league and, at the beginning of this season, also in the Super Cup,” they noted.
