Nothing better than a breakfast or snack that is as delicious as it is healthy. Baked oatmeal with cocoa and red fruits It’s like a moist pudding, full of fiber, antioxidants and natural energy.
It’s ideal for making ahead and enjoying both hot and cold, and can easily be adapted to make it sugar-free or vegan.
Cocoa provides that intense chocolate flavor, while red fruits (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries or blackberries) add color, freshness and vitamin C. A healthy dessert that can also be breakfast!
The base is rolled oats, bitter cocoa powder, red fruits and milk (animal or vegetable).

- 2 cups rolled oats
- 2 tablespoons bitter cocoa powder (unsweetened)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, honey or stevia (adjust to taste)
- 2 cups of milk (can be vegetable)
- 2 large eggs (or 2 tablespoons of hydrated chia in 6 of water for vegan version)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence (optional)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup fresh or frozen berries (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries)
- 1 pinch of salt
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mix the oats, cocoa, sugar, baking powder and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs, milk and vanilla essence.
- Combine both mixtures until obtaining a homogeneous preparation.
- Gently add the red berries, reserving some to decorate on top.
- Pour the mixture into the bowl, decorate with extra red berries.
- Bake 30 minutes or until when inserted with a toothpick, it comes out just moist.
- Let cool, cut into portions and serve hot or cold.
