Instead of ‘The Big Leap’, announced for this November, Atresmedia has brought forward the premiere of one of its series: ‘The Shadow of the Earth’, which will arrive on November 24 on the atresplayer platform. This rural drama is based on the novel of the same name by Elvira Mínguez, who also debuts as director of the project. ‘The shadow of the earth’ It has a notable cast that includes Carmelo Gómez, Marcos Ruiz, Ginés García Millán and other renowned actors. The series, which consists of four 50-minute episodes, is an original production by atresplayer in collaboration with Fonte Films, with Elvira Mínguez as scriptwriter and director.

The production, starring Óscar Casas as Deferr, focuses on the most intense moments of the athlete’s life, from his successes at the Olympic Games in Sydney, Athens and Beijing to his personal battles in a dark stage marked by self-destruction.

The series, created by José Rodríguez and based on Deferr’s own biography of the same name, it consists of five 50-minute episodes. The filming took place in different locations in the province of Barcelona, where the story of the gymnast and his path to improvement has been recreated, both in sports and personally.
