Atlanta, Dubai and Dallas airports are the busiest around the world

Airports can also be considered as global connection centers that reflect the movement of people. Every year, millions of passengers circulate through these air terminals, which makes them a key piece for tourism, international trade and global logistics.

After the pandemic the flow of travelers has resumed strength. So now the great international hubs have resumed the path of economic and tourist dynamism. Here we present the most busy airports worldwide according to Airports Council International.

In the first place is the Atlanta airport in the United States with 108 million passengers for 2024. It is followed by Dubai airport, in the United Arab Emirates, with 92 million passengers. The podium is completed by Dallas/Fort Worth airport with 88 million passersby.

Completing the ranking is the Tokyo airport, with 86 million passengers; London Airport, with 84 million; Denver airport, with 83 million; Istanbul airport, with 80 million; Chicago airport, with 80 million; New Delhi airport, with 78 million; and the Shanghai airport, with 77 million.

In total in 2024 the figure of 9.5 billion passengers was reached. And in total these 10 airports transported 855 million passengers, which translates into 9% of world air traffic.
