An Army officer was sentenced by the Military Criminal Justice to 24 months in prison after admitting that he provided false coordinates during an operation in Vichada between October 1 and 9, 2025, according to the Military and Police Prosecutor’s Office.
The sentence was handed down after a preliminary agreement in which the soldier acknowledged his responsibility in the crimes of disobedience and ideological falsehood.
The judicial decision detailed that the officer remained at the educational institution in the Santa Rosalía district, in the municipality of La Primavera, an area designated as “prohibited for military use” due to its vulnerability and the presence of the civilian population, according to the resolution.
