Antena 3 awards ‘The wheel of fortune’ within its important commitment to entertainment and contests. The program presented by Jorge Fernández will have a series of prime time specials from the Atresmedia channel, according to Bluper and verified by YOTELE.
As reported by the aforementioned media, the format prepares these programs in the prime time slot under the name of ‘The wheel of fortune night’ and will have a rhythm adapted to this scheduledifferentiating itself from the daily deliveries that are broadcast in the afternoon.
At the moment, it is unknown when this series of specials of ‘La ruleta de la suerte’ will be broadcast on Antena 3’s programming, although there will be one delivery with celebrities.
It should be remembered that this is not the only attempt by Antena 3 to export the success of ‘La ruleta de la suerte’ to another of its programming slots. In the spring of 2011, the Atresmedia channel launched ‘Premium Wheel of Fortune’a version also presented by Jorge Fernández on weekends, which had higher prizes than his daily strip.
‘La ruleta de la suerte’ continues on Antena 3 in good health after more than 18 years on the air. During the last television season, the format had its best season since 2008/2009, leading with a 21.2% audience share and 1.6 million viewers on average each day. In fact, it surpassed its closest competitor by a difference of 10.2 points, the largest historical advantage.
Jorge Fernández’s contest achieved its highest ever performance of the season over the weekend with 17.2% and 1.3 million average viewers, also achieving the greatest distance from its rival (6.9 percentage points). In addition, in June it reached the milestone of leading for 50 consecutive months with 21.4%, 1,558,000 average followers and 3,178,000 unique viewers.
